The Power of Wonder: A Clinical Use of Challenging Cognitive Distortions

This course is designed to assist clinicians in identifying cognitive distortions and cognitive interweaves in session, as well as utilize strategies; such as, cognitive challenging, appropriately.  Participants will be able to effectively understand the importance of rapport and how it impacts the ability to challenge and reframe clients’ thinking patterns.

 Learning Objectives:

1.Effectively identify cognitive distortions in therapy

2. Understand the importance of rapport and how it is used in challenging cognitive distortions

3. Implement use of tools and strategies to challenge cognitive distortions.
